Accounts Assistant

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our finance operations, reporting directly with our Head of Finance to uphold efficiency and precision. From managing timesheets and expenses to handling payroll and banking tasks, your role will be diverse and fast-paced, keeping you engaged and challenged every step of the way.

As a vital member of our team, you'll dive into various responsibilities, including managing supplier invoices, processing payments, and ensuring seamless customer interactions. Your attention to detail will be paramount as you navigate spreadsheets and control accounts with finesse, ensuring accuracy in every transaction.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist employees with timesheet queries and ensure accurate recording of expenses.
• Manage supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and process payments.
• Handle customer sales orders, raise invoices, and assist with credit control.
• Perform banking tasks including recording transactions and reconciling statements.
• Process weekly and monthly payroll, including pension contributions and tax payments.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller and Head of Finance as needed.
• Maintain spreadsheets and control accounts with meticulous attention to detail.

Experience & Qualifications:

• AAT Level 2 certification or higher.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
• Strong attention to detail with a knack for identifying data patterns.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proven capacity to multitask effectively and meet deadlines under pressure.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
