About The Role

Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a PMO Analyst to work on our Thames Water Capital Delivery contract in South London and Thames Valley. 

As a PMO Analyst, you will be part of our Programme Management Department/Team who are responsible for developing the programme of works and assuring and reporting on the programme throughout the project/programme life cycle.

Morrison Water services have been successful in securing capital delivery contracts with Thames Water for networks for AMP7 and potentially into AMP8.

As the PMO Analyst your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Report and reviews of information regarding the Capital Programme
  • Provides insight and analysis to support decision making in line with corporate objectives
  • Month end and annual reporting for the portfolio against budgets, costs, forecasts and scope, as well as feeding into quarterly budget forecasting
  • Understand delivery cost performance and benefits being realised
  • Work with Delivery Teams to ensure benefits and outcomes are captured and accurately reported
  • Any contractual change is administered promptly following transfers
  • Understand and contribute towards business forecasts of regulatory financial and reputational performance commitments outlined in the plan agreed with the business leaders
  • Support PMO and programme manager at the budget and quarterly re-forecast process to re-evaluate and mitigate risks etc
  • Contribute to team improvement initiatives, work with colleagues to share and agree best practice and promote communication and engagement across teams and wider business
  • Occasional travel to Thames Water sites as necessary for the role

 Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of business management systems
  • Experience of manipulating datasets and working with databases
  • Reporting expertise through Power BI is desirable
  • Cost Management Systems
  • Experience with IT systems, MS Office suite, Sharepoint and other data management systems
  • High attention to detail with ability to work accurately with large volumes of financial data
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Strong portfolio management skills
  • Decision making and judgement
  • Commercial orientation
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to influence decisions and challenge data
