About The Role

Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our Yorkshire Water AMP7 contract team in Leeds. The role will cover three frameworks including; Infrastructure, Customer Focused and Minor Civils clean and waste water.

Works are let under the NEC4 ECC with each individual project ranging from £100k to £5m.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role will involve commercial management of individual Infrastructure/Minor Civils contracts as part of the Project team.

As the Quantity Surveyor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Commercial management of Projects from pre-contract stage right through to Contract Completion
  • Subcontractor management, including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applications
  • Supporting the production of monthly CVRs
  • Producing both internal and client forecasts
  • Building and maintaining good client relationships with Yorkshire Water and all internal departments
  • Ensuring cash is received on time at forecast level

Skills, knowledge and experience: 

  • Ideally you will be HND/Degree qualified
  • Driving license
  • Civil engineering/Utilities experience essential
  • NEC3 / 4 experience preferred
  • Good organisational skills and effective communication skills
