About M Group Services Plant and Fleet and your team

With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.

Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

Who you are?

As a Mobile Engineer, you will be allocated a modern fully equipped service van, PDA and smart phone. Your backup is provided via our central service support network. You will travel and work unsupervised at customer sites to service and repair a diverse range of LCV’s, Plant and Equipment within the utilities sector. We’re looking for people who are self-motivated, flexible, effective communicators who pride themselves in working to high-standards to provide high-levels of customer service. A recognised apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in engineering either working with LCV’s, HGV’s or Plant equipment are preferred.

What you’ll bring?

  • NVQ Level 3 or industry recognised qualification
  • You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
  • Confident in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to work independently, carrying out all statutory inspections, examinations, calibrations and service events, for all Plant & Vehicles for your nominated contracts
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ideal candidates will be experienced in LCV, construction plant, material handling or ancillary equipment. You will be conversant with a range of disciplines along with strong diagnostic and electrical systems capabilities.
