Caledonia Water Alliance is currently looking to recruit a Pipeline Commissioning Operatives to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract (pan Scotland).
As a Pipeline Commissioning Operatives you will be part of our MEICA Team. Who support all pipeline installation, testing, sampling and commissioning activities. Ensuring safe delivery of the works in line with client and industry specifications.
Caledonia Water Alliance is a partnership between AECOM and Morrison Water Services. Supporting the delivery of the SR21 Scottish Water Capital Investment Programme, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland programme.
As the Pipeline Commissioning Operative, you will support the wider MEICA Commissioning and Pipeline Commissioning teams. Carry out commissioning activities across CWA projects throughout the construction and commissioning phases. You will be responsible for working with and supporting the site teams. Ensuring safe delivery of pressure testing, flushing, swabbing and disinfection activities on site.
As Pipeline Commissioning Operative your duties & responsibilities will be:
- Work as part of the CWA project team to deliver successful installation, testing and commissioning activities of all pipeline installations.
- Be part of a wider number of pipeline teams in support of commissioning activities on site.
- Assist with the safe planning and execution of pipeline commissioning activities on site.
- Provide input where required to the compilation of Commissioning Plans, safe systems of work and testing procedures.
- Work closely with Scottish Water to help develop detailed Pipeline elements of the Commissioning Plans.
- Assist the team leader and Supervisor in completing all relevant paper work associated with commissioning and testing activities and project deliverables.
- Provide commissioning support to construction site staff
- Work with Inspection Test Plan and ensure Quality Control in accordance with the water industry standards and specifications.

- Maintain a presence at work activity locations of sub-contractors and CWA staff.
- Provide support in the control and use of commissioning equipment including calibration of equipment when due.
- Liaise with and supervise sub-contractors commissioning activities.
- Provides input to the Commissioning Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Follow programmed works and inform site manager of deviations.
- Undertake record keeping and equipment checks.
- Help prepare site reports on commissioning activities.
