We are recruiting for a Process Engineer join our team working on our DV2 contract in Stepps offices, Glasgow.
As the Process Engineer, you will be working directly for the Pre-Construction Manager within our Technical Services department, you will work with other key team members in delivering detailed design services including the production of various design deliverables and be responsible for process design and process implementation. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some years of experience of working within the Water and Waste-Water sector having worked with a UK water company or a Designer/ Contracting company employed by a UK water company.
Working as part of a friendly team where input is valued and recognised, MWS are looking for a team player who can help fulfil its goals of growth and market penetration over the years ahead.
As the Process Engineer your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Assess processes and capability/ capacity of existing and new assets for water and waste- water treatment
- Take measurements and interpret data from historical records and systems
- Manage cost and time constraints
- Proven skills to successfully control and manage workload and the implementation of company and project procedures
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions
- Perform process risk assessment for process intervention
- Design for new asset and process improvement
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally
- An understanding of industry standards
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- Preferably Chemical Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline
- Conversant with Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, Word
- Experience in design development for clean / wastewater non infrastructure would be desirable
- Engineering calculations including mass and energy balances
- Engineering drawings (process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation drawings, equipment/system layout drawings)
- Specification of process/treatment equipment, instruments and controls
- Engineering reports
- Feasibility studies
- Design basis documents
